the place where aluminium is born
The story of how the aluminium profile is made
What is BRAZ?
Brovary Aluminium Plant (BRAZ) is a powerful Ukrainian innovative enterprise with closed cycle of aluminium production, which is considered one of the largest aluminium producers in Ukraine and Europe.
The plant was founded in 1979, but it began to be modernized only in 2011 under the leadership of Sergiy Shapran - CEO of the international industrial and investment holding ALUMETA Group.
Today BRAZ exports its products to 30 countries; this is the most famous aluminium plant in Ukraine, which works 24 hours 7 days a week. And one of its main features is the full cycle of production of aluminium products: from casting to the production of finished products.
How does the production of aluminium profiles go?
After sorting of the recyclables, which is processed at the plant, it is added to the primary aluminium and melted during 7-8 hours in special furnaces (which capacity up to 51 thousand tons per year) at a temperature of 850 degrees.
After that, aluminium goes through the process of homogenization - the structuring of the crystal structure of the aluminium preparation, which makes it more plastic and ready for further use in the extrusion process of the aluminium profile.
In the tool shop, all products undergo the process of nitrating, which significantly increases their operational properties, and in the press shop - the process of extrusion on seven modern hydraulic presses of horizontal action to give the desired form of raw materials.
Then the profiles go through the process of trimming and are transferred to the shop of galvanic protective coating (transparent layer of tarnish) and polymer coating. After that, the profile goes to the machining and in the surface treatment department, where it acquires the given appearance and texture.
The last stage is the packaging where on automatic vacuum lines, with a capacity of more than 1200 tons per month each, the packaging and branding of the aluminium profile is made.
